A very impressive Alilo Christmas march has been held today in Dmanisi municipality. The march is organised every year and has great importance for orthodox community.
The orthodox Christian community is one of of major community of Georgia. The community is known for its huge contribution for overall development of the Georgian economy.
The Municipality official took to their social media handles and shared glimpses of this procession as well. The official Facebook page of Municipality stated that, “In Dmanisi Municipality, on the occasion of the glorious holiday of the Nativity of Christ, the Alilo Christmas procession was held.”
It further added, “The procession was organized by the “AIP Dmanisi Culture and Art Centre” and supported by the local self-government.The collected food will be distributed to vulnerable families living in Dmanisi Municipality of Georgia.”
It is worth to note large number of community members were part of this march. This number induced devotee of all ages. The old age peoples, children’s women participated in this event with full devolution. Many children’s being part of this event wore cloth depicting Georgian flags.
They also carried basket on their hands and some wore traditional conservatives clothes which reflected their dedication, devolution and love for past rich historical values.
The local community leader of orthodox Christian led this march which passes through many areas, streets, bazaar. The community members who led this impressive march through different places also apprised people especially young students, children about history of this day.
They urged them to follow the teaching of orthodox church to live a happy and progressive life full of spirituality.
On the other hand, students, children’s and their parents expressed their gratitude for organisers of march. They underlined the importance of this day to motivate young children with their religion. On the other hand social media user also appreciated organisers for this march. They commented their best wishes for all participants.
