The participants of the Alilo procession received beautiful gifts. The gifts were given to them by the speaker of national parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili.
The speaker of the national parliament was accompanied by the many other members of parliament of Georgia. They all congratulated all the participants and also extended their best wishes to all to them.
The parliament speaker, while delivering gifts to the participants also gave speech. The speaker in his address underlines, “This day has great importance for all of us. The Christian community all over world is celebrating this religions and historic event with marches and procession. I on behalf of my party and Georgian parliament would like to extend my best wishes to all of you.”
The speaker further said that I hope this day will be one of best day of your life. He further stressed that day give us opportunity to unite altogether and share message of Christianity as well.
It is worth to note that Georgian parliament speaker joined the Christmas procession at Republic Square along with other member parliament as well as officials and representative of his government also.
He during this procession again extended his best wishes to participants for Christmas as well as for new year 2025. He said, this new year may bring peace and stability for all of you.
Speaker also mentioned message of Patriarch on this occasion in his address. The patriarch in his message has already highlighted the Christmas Epistle. The Chiasmas Epistle is known as for a message of love and peace.
The speaker along with other members of parliament also urged people to come forward and united together for national common cause. Speaker underlined that, we have attended the charismas liturgy yesterday, we also listen to message of Patriarch. This means love and peace should be spread throughout our life.
His procession, also called Alilo march began from first Republic Square and ended at the Holy Trinity Cathedral, notably march is being held in city since 2000. This year march has completed its 25 years.
