Ambrolauri: Zviad Mkheidze, the Mayor of municipality visited free canteen and extended his best wishes to individuals living there. He was accompanied by many other dignitaries as well.
The official Facebook page of Ambrolauri municipality shared glimpses of visit. The Facebook page of Ambrolauri municipality stated, “The beneficiaries of the free canteen in Ambrolauri Municipality were congratulated on the upcoming New Year.”
It also stated that, “The Mayor of Ambrolauri Municipality Zviad Mkheidze, together with the Head of the Office of the Governor Marika Dvali, the Chairman of the City Council Aslan Saganelidze, the Head of the Social and Healthcare Service of the City Hall Marika Japaridze and representatives of the “Red Cross” visited free canteen.”
The visiting members here personally congratulated the beneficiaries on the eve of Christmas and new year and presented them with New Year’s gifts. It is worth to note that, The City Hall of Ambrolauri Municipality has been implementing the “Free One-Time Meals for Socially Vulnerable Population” program for several years.
In 2024, 17 beneficiaries benefited from this program. Every year representative of municipalities visited free canteen and other community places to share happy moments with people living in these facilities.
The mayor on this occasion also urged the members of centre to avail benefits of social welfare program being run by Ambrolauri Municipality. He also shared with them details of some of community welfare programs running successful by city hall administrators.
It is also to be noted that some of the social welfare programs are being run by Municipality with cooperation of central government whereas some are totally sponsored by local administration of municipality.
The other visiting members also wished them Merry Christmas and happy new year. They also reiterate the commitment of Municipality for continue social welfare in upcoming year also.
On the other hand, the person who received gifts from Mayor expressed their gratitude. Moreover, they appreciate efforts of municipality towards social welfare with launch of community schemes as well.
