Afghanistan: Afghanistan’s administrative Taliban rulers have been driving the ‘Purification’ campaign in a bid to replace the Civil Laws with the Laws of Islam and establish an entirely Islamic society. Within one and a half years, the Taliban has scrapped the constitution and implemented the rules based on the Draconian interpretation of Islamic Laws.

As per reports, the prisons in Afghanistan have been flooded with people, while the civilians have been deprived of their basic civil rights, and no signs of social security for the vulnerable group of Afghans have been in sight.

Moreover, the media is being made the tool for the promotion of the Taliban’s vision and plans for an Islamic country, with restrictions on un-Islamic content which includes music and the presence of women in it.

As the locals state, the society in Afghanistan is now based upon fear of the rulers instead of social order and rights. At the same time, another proportion of society links this with improved security and the elimination of corruption from society.

Maulvi Ahmed Shah Fedayii, a prominent imam, stated that the Taliban has returned humanity to the country. The Taliban judges informed that the books containing laws from the previous government were burnt soon after the 2021 takeover.

With the escalation of the Purification campaign, legal and policy amendments are being formalized in Afghanistan. Taliban’s leader Haibatullah Akhudzada has also been publicizing the implementation of Islamic laws in the country.

Meanwhile, the rulers are pacing up the creation of the Islamic Sharia system and the reformation of the Afghan society, stated a deputy Taliban spokesperson, adding further that the interpretation of the Islamic law by the Taliban has been a blessing for the government, the citizens and it also pleases the God.

At the same time, the speculations point the Taliban’s inclination towards the reprise of the brutality of the groups, such as the stoning of women for adultery. Earlier, the Taliban banned women from entering educational institutions.
