Tbilisi: Salome Zurabishvili, the President of Georgia condemned attack on crew of TV Pirveli. She said attack has revealed true face of Georgian Dream once again.
As per President Georgian Dream has now showing it real face to public without any shame. She said nowadays Georgian Dream is not even trying to hide its dangerous agenda. Moreover, attacking TV crew in a live broadcast is very shocking and disturbing which need to check as soon as possible.
It is worth to note that Georgian President have expressed her anger openly against the ruling party Georgian Dream. At the same time, she took to her social media handles to criticise anti-people policies of Georgian Dream as well.
While speaking further she said that this attack on members of TV crew is not ordinary but a serious terror attack. If we the people of Georgia do not resist policies of Georgian Dream then we should be ready to face more such kinds of things as well.
In a social media post that, Georgian President said that, it is very terrible that, country is facing growing terrorism and violence against the media. The brutal beatings of journalists mean they have crossed all limits now. The journalists are just doing their job. We need to understand cruel face of Georgian Dream.
In another post President underlined that, growing violence clearly showed that Russian regime is coming back to Georgia once again. The beating of journalist on live broadcasting, chasing and beating citizens on streets also showed that we are living under a undemocratic regime.
She also raises question over working of police and other law enforcement agencies. According to her there are clear evidence of inciting violence against the ruling party leaders but nobody taking any action against them.
She urged ministry of internal affairs to take strict action against all those who are behind the violence as well. Moreover, over Georgian citizen have every right to organise peacefully protest rallies under the democratic setup of country.
