Salome Zurabishvili, the President of Georgia recognizes the significance of public will. President during an address at 8th Tbilisi International conference said that the will of the people is supreme and nobody can ignore it away at any cost.
It is worth noting that President Salome Zurabishvili hosted a reception event for the participants who arrived in Georgia to take part in the 8th Tbilisi International Conference. This important conference will take place in Tbilisi for two days on September 2 and 3.
During her address the President underlined that this conference is taking place at a crucial time. The October 26 election will decide the future of the country. She again slammed the ruling party’s “Georgian Dream” and added that the dream had been shattered and turned into a nightmare.
As per the President the country has always desired to join the European Union but the current political situation in the country is a matter of concern. She repeatedly criticized the ruling party for creating a hindrance in Georgia’s integration path into the European Union.
Underlining the importance of the election, she said “Election time is significant. This will not only change the ruling regime but also change the destiny of the people. People should cast their voting rights carefully.”
On the other hand the Georgian President urged the European Union to start the negotiations with Georgia as early as possible. Furthermore as per her, our American Friends should also implement the positive part of the “MEGAOBARI” as soon as possible.
She told the attendees “Once people exercise their right to vote, we need your important support. Georgians need a stable environment, which will in turn uplift peoples living standards.
According to President what is happening in Ukraine will decide the future of Georgia, the region and the world. She highlighted that it is very important to have a free, secure and cooperative Black Sea.
This stability of the Black Sea also has a great role in deciding the future of the Western world along with the future of the United States of America and the countries of the European Union.
