Tbilisi: The Georgian authorities has sent another load of emergency aid to western Guria region. The heavy rain and snowfall caused multiple problems in many areas of Georgia.
The officials of Georgian government yesterday revealed about this sent aid to needy peoples. As per the information a total 140 tonnes of various food items and necessary commodity has been sent to needy people stuck in emergency situations.
The Georgian Government on Thursday said 140 tonnes of food and basic commodities had been sent to the local communities affected by heavy snowfall in the country’s western Guria region.
It is worth to note that all the necessary help was sent to after decision was taken in this regarded by the coordination headquarter. The decision which was taken by coordination headquarter is headed by the Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
Moreover, the entire working of headquarter is being organised and controlled by the ministry of environment protection and agriculture. according to the officials the help will be disrupted equally to all the three municipalities of Guria.
It is also to be noted that due to heavy rain as well the snowfall many areas of region have been isolated and people even are struggling to get the basic commodities for their survival.
The snowfall also covered the main roads leading to cities and town. The blocked roads also disturb the smoother supply of the aid. The authorities are working round the clock with their entire strength so that maximum persons can be provided with assistance as well.
On the other hand, the emergency services department said that with the coordinated efforted the rescue work is going on in full pace. The health ministry also revealed how health department employees are trying to reach maximum people stuck in natural disasters.
