On July 7, 2024, a dedicated conference was held on the topic of Cardiovascular diseases. The main theme of the conference was “ Cardiovascular diseases and interventional medicine – achievements and challenges” . This conference was organised by the Batumi Medical University “AVICENNA”.
On the first day the opening ceremony of the conference was attended by the Minister of Health of Adjara, Nino Nizharadze.He was also accompanied by the first deputy Mari Zanakidze. The minister welcomed the participants with his welcoming address and also talked about the program of the Ministry of Health of Adjara such as “additional medical services for heart surgery”.
It is worth mentioning that minister during his address stated that “In Adjara the treatment of health relation ailments especially the heart surgery is fully covered by the universal healthcare program and co-financing by the Ministry. The financing of medical services which are not determined by the DRG method has been increased up to 100%.”
He further added “ For planned angiography of the heart and coronary arteries the budget of the program is being increasing every year, we are trying our best to promote the introduction of modern services and techniques in the medical services across the city. I want to thank all of you and wish you success.
The conference was attended by leading cardiologists, representatives of the medical field and invited officials. The top and famous medical experts from across the country who were part of the conference also shared their view with the participants. An presentation was also held to explain the each and every aspects of the topic of the conference as well.
It is worth to note that the cariovasular diseases has become the biggest health problem of the modern age. There are many reason behind this biggest health problem. An idle lifestyle coupled with bad dietary habits are the major culprits responsible for cardio-related diseases.
Notably the health ministry of Georgia have launched many campaigns in this direction to mitigate the health complication. A healthy heart is the first thing to lead a healthy life normal life as well.
