Georgia: The preparation process for the unified national exams is coming to an end across the country. The Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Nunu Mitskevich, together with the director of the National Center for Evaluation and Examinations, Sofo Gorgodze, held a meeting with the members of the organizing group before the start of the exams and discussed in detail all the issues related to the organization of the exams.
The organizational group will be headed by Nunu Mitskevich and will receive information about the current situation and needs in the course of the exams from the representatives of various agencies involved in the organization of the exams.
At the meeting, the deputy minister thanked the members of the group for the work done in preparation for the national exams and noted that the meetings of the organizing group would be held systematically so that each entrant to the national exams could show their abilities to the fullest in a full-fledged and academic environment.
In order to ensure an equal, calm and comfortable environment for unified national exams throughout the country, a special organizing group is created every year, which includes: the ministries of education and science, labour, health and social protection, internal affairs, justice, regional development and infrastructure of Georgia and their subordinates Services, as well as representatives of the Georgian Government Administration, Tbilisi City Hall, JSC “Energo-Pro Georgia”, LLC Magticom, LLC “Skytel” and JSC Telas.
The aforementioned agencies, within the scope of their competence, are constantly working on various issues related to the organization of the examination process and supervising the course of examinations.
It should be noted that the unified national exams of 2022 will begin on July 4 with the Georgian language and literature exam.
There are 22 examination centres in full readiness throughout the country, which will receive up to 90,000 registered examinees – entrants, participants in the student grant competition, candidates for master’s degrees, and those who wish to raise the status of teachers and pedagogues.
