The administration of Black Sea International University has signed a memorandum of understanding with the “House.” The” House” is a centre for the mental health and psychosocial rehabilitation.
According to the information available under the provision of the Memorandum of Understanding, several educational programs are being planned. These programs will include public lectures, seminars, and training as well as the organization of master classes to spread information on the importance of mental health among students of different ages.
At the same time mutual cooperation will contribute to raising students’ awareness and development about personal health and psychological conditions. Mental health has become a big global issue and a large number of the world’s population including the student community, have been affected by mental health issues .
The tough competition in the academic field has sent a sense of insecurity among the student community and made them the most vulnerable section for mental health issues. The University shared this information on its social media handles. It shared the glimpses of the signing ceremony between the university administration and the House the Center of Mental Health and the psychosocial rehabilitation representative.
It is worth noting that during the signing ceremony both sides expressed hopes that this initiative would benefit the student community through various sessions including counseling, etc. The fast-moving and stressful study environment has many negative effects on students’ mental health. They feel demoralized and think that they cannot compete in the world of fierce competition, which also makes them more insecure.
