A special training session was organized at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University on September 25. The training sessions was aimed to improve teacher’s teaching skills and help them understand needs of students.
The training was held with the assistance of the prominent non-government organization UNICEF Georgia. Glimpses of the event were also shared on various social media handles.
The Facebook page of UNICEF Georgia stated “It is essential to inform current and future kindergarten teachers about inclusion and diversity in early education, as well as research and practice so that they can create a focused environment for children.”
It further states “Training sessions with students and working teachers have been held on emerging trends in the education field in Shota Rustaveli State University of Batumi. Training sessions are being held ahead of the third international conference on early education and care.”
The third international conference on early childhood education and care will be held at BSU University for two days on September 26 and 27. The Georgian Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth is main organiser. It will also have active support of UNICEF (United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund).
The education, culture and sports Ministry of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara and JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) are also helping to make the conference a success.
The organizer of the training hopes that this will help to create an environment in kindergartens where the skills and needs of each child will be taken into account. This is necessary to meet the needs of every student according to their requirements. A significant number of teachers from across the country took part in the training program which included both theoretical and practical modules.
It is to be noted that at this international conference different aspects associated with the education sector especially teaching skills will be discussed.The conference will underline the role of knowledge and experience sharing.
The conference is expected to host a large number of teachers, students, researchers and representatives of regional and international organisations. The main language of the conference is Georgian along with English. However Georgian to English and vice-versa translation will also be provided.
