Tbilisi: Xi Jinping, the President of republic of Georgia congratulate newly elected president of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili. He said bilateral relation under new president will see new heights.
Notably the new president of Georgia was elected on last month. He has assumed the charges now after replacing the Salome Zourabichvili, the former president who was very critical to the policies of new government of ruling party, Georgian Dream.
It is worth to note that Mikheil Kavelashvili election also become controversial as former president refused to quit the office citing the irregularities in the election process. According to former president the election for the national parliament was full of corruption.
Moreover, she has very bitter relation with the ruling party Georgian Dream. According to her the ruling party is taking many anti-Georgian policies also. The China president said as both countries have enjoyed good relations in the past this trend will be continue in future years also. He stressed that China always support the Georgia’s aspiration to enter European Union.
It is worth to note that the bilateral relation between both sides have been very stable since the start of new year. The two countries have started their bilateral relation in the year 1992. The Georgia which was the member of Soviet Union became independent after dissolution of Soviet Union.
The two countries are also the members of United Nation and many other international countries also. It is also to be noted that due to cordial bilateral relations the republic of China has recognised the one China policy also.
As per the one China policy Georgia do not recognise the Taiwan as an independent nation. On the other hand, the people republic of China has maintained that this is not the first time also as well. The Georgian government official also shared this news on the social media handles. They expressed hopes the new beginning will be good for both nation in future also.
