The Health Department of Georgia said the country has reported 1,099 new cases of COVID-19, with 800 recoveries and 10 fatalities in the past 24 hours. The positivity rate for the past two weeks stands at 12.39 per cent.
Overall, there are currently 30,989 active cases of Coronavirus all over the country.
Moreover, as per the figures given by the health authorities of Georgia, a total of 21,281 tests were conducted throughout the country within the last 24 hours, out of which 2,180 were rapid antigen tests, and the remaining 19,101 were PCR tests.
Since February 26, 2020, the country has recorded a total of 1,638,790 cases of Coronavirus. Out of 1,638,790 cases of COVID-19, a total of 1,591,180 patients have recovered, while 16,595 people have succumbed to it.
The new 1,099 cases of COVID-19 were recorded in several parts of the country.

- Kvemo Kartli – 41 cases
- Shida Kartli – 79 cases
- Guria – 65 cases
- Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti – 82 cases

- Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 17 cases
- Samtskhe-Javakheti – 10 cases
- Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 24 cases
The new Omicron variant of Coronavirus accounts for the majority of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the country.
Furthermore, there are currently 1,068 patients who are undergoing treatment in hospitals, while 29,921 people are undergoing treatment at home and by consulting their family doctors. There are 306 people who are undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit.
As many as 1,354,540 people have received at least one dose of any vaccine in the country so far, while 1,252,295 individuals have been fully vaccinated, amounting to 43.6 % of the country’s adult population.
A total of 228,281 individuals have received booster shots or 3rd dose of the vaccine.
As of today, around 33.7 % of the total population of Georgia has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, which accounts for 12.5L of people. As of now, approximately 29.1L doses of vaccines have been administered in the country.
