Georgia: The Health Ministry of Georgia said that the country has reported 235 new cases of COVID-19, with 496 recoveries and five fatalities in the past 24 hours. The positivity rate for the past week stands at 1.34 per cent.
There are currently 2,555 active cases of Coronavirus all over the country.
Moreover, as per the figures given by the Georgian health department, a total of 20,318 tests were conducted throughout the country within the last 24 hours, out of which 18,357 were rapid antigen tests, and the remaining 1,961 were PCR tests.
Since February 26, 2020, the country has recorded a total of 1,652,707 cases of Coronavirus. Out of which, 1,633,338 patients have recovered, while 16,788 people have succumbed to it.
The new 235 cases of COVID-19 were recorded in several parts of the country.

- Adjara – 9 cases
- Imereti – 16 cases
- Kvemo Kartli – 12 cases
- Shida Kartli – 11 cases
- Guria – 15 cases
- Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti – 21 cases
- Kakheti – 19 cases
- Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 4 cases
- Samtskhe-Javakheti – 3 cases
- Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 4 cases
Furthermore, there are currently 349 patients who are undergoing treatment in hospitals, while 2,206 people are undergoing treatment at home and by consulting their family doctors. There are 76 individuals who are undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit.
As many as 1,363,768 people have received at least one dose of any vaccine in the country so far, while 1,254,665 individuals have been fully vaccinated, amounting to 43.8 % of the country’s adult population.
A total of 246,846 individuals have received booster shots or 3rd dose of the vaccine.
As of today, around 33.9% of the population of Georgia has been fully vaccinated, accounting for 12.6 L individuals. The country has administered approximately 29.5 L doses of anti-coronavirus vaccines.
