Tbilisi: Davit Devidze, the Chairman of the National Public Registry Agency of Georgia, attended a public lecture at Caucasus International University’s Justice Auditorium.
The CIU management taking to social media handles shared information in this regard. As per the official Facebook page of the University “ Justice Auditoruim” the University has this time hosted the chairman of the National Public Registry Agency.
It added that the “Justice Auditorium” at the Caucasus International University hosted a public lecture under the guidance of the Ministry of Justice. On this occasion students acquainted themselves with the National Public Registry Agency’s ongoing and completed reforms.
At the same time the University students received comprehensive information about systematic land registration. They got acquainted in detail with the successful statistical indicators of the reform, according to which the agency has already measured more than 1500000 plots of land and registered ownership rights on more than 1000000 plots of land. As a result more than 1,000,000 citizens (30% of the country’s population) are registered owners.
In addition to the reform of systematic land registration, students got acquainted with and were informed about many other important projects. Discussions were also held on topics such as “Addressed Georgia ” “Law on Entrepreneurs of Georgia” and others.
Similarly the conversation touched on the agency’s innovative digital project “Smart Contract” which allows the parties to implement the purchase and sale agreement in a digital format and securely register the property electronically without going to the public registry. The Ministry of Justice will present this project to the public shortly.
Davit Devidze Chairman of the National Public Registry Agency, chaired the lecture. Students expressed great interest in current reforms and employment opportunities offered by the agency.
At the end of the meeting the chairman of the public registry discussed issues of future cooperation with the Caucasus International University and wished the students success in their work.
The project was launched at Caucasus International University on March 14 of this year. The agency’s priority is also to involve the civil sector, academic circles and future lawyers in the Ministry of Justice’s activity process.
