Georgia: The Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Irakli Nadareishvili, officially visited the United Arab Emirates and held a working meeting.
It should be noted that during the working meeting, he got acquainted with the largest development companies Emaar Properties and Eagle Hills projects.
The Eagle Hills company, established by Mohamed Alabar (the founder of Emaar Properties) and aimed at large-scale international projects, will invest a record 6 billion US dollars in Georgia’s real estate and tourism industries.
It is worth noting that, directly in the UAE, Emaar Properties and Eagle Hills have major projects for today’s world’s tallest skyscraper Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, a luxury development complex at Raman Islands in Abu Dhabi, Dubai Marina’s elite resort zone and more. During the visit, Deputy Minister Irakli Nadareishvili met Mohamed Alabar, founder and managing director of Emaar Properties/Eagle Hills.
As the Deputy Minister said after the meeting, the investment of Eagle Hills is unprecedented and such an investment in Georgia has not been made before. According to him, the entry of a high-class group such as Emaar in Georgia is an important message for global investors that Georgia is a reliable partner and an interesting country for long-term investment.
According to the Deputy Minister, the Georgian government has been negotiating with “Emaar” for about a year. “The second phase of project development will begin, within which the company will establish a representative office in Georgia.” Next, work will be done on general planning and permitting conditions. We think that in about a year, the works will start on both locations,“ Irakli Nadareishvili noted.
As the Deputy Minister said, Emaar and Eagle Hills are represented in 15 countries of the world, and in all the countries where it invests, its policy is to maximize local human and intellectual resources.
According to him, as a result, local professionals and companies will be actively involved in both construction, architectural, and urban spheres, together with the company’s international class specialists, which will be another important contribution to the Georgian economy.
