The agency “Make in Georgia” in collaboration with National Bank is going to open the consulting centre throughout the country. The objective of these centres will be to provide overall assistance to small and medium enterprises across the country.
It is to be specifically mentioned that the expansion process of small and medium enterprises is complicated as MSMEs have limited financial resources. At the same to managing business issues ranging from manufacturing, sales, marketing, and promotion required a huge wealth and a workforce.
Under the new initiative the Agency is planning to open the consulting centre in all the regions and major cities by the end of 2025. As per the latest information so far the centres has been opened in three cities which include Zugdidi, Batumi, and Telavi. The end of the current year will see the opening of the centre in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Racha-Lechkhum Kvemo Svaneti and Samtskhe Javakheti.
The centre will provide different services to the owners of the MSME business. It will include the consultation on six main topics mentioned below:
- Sales and marketing
- Tax issues
- Legal issues
- Financial issues and accounting
- Business modelling and strategy planning
- Digitization
There is a provision under the new scheme to provide financial support up to 25000 GEL for the upgradation of the Micro, small and medium enterprises as well.
However certain conditions have been implemented for the companies interested in receiving assistance from the Agency. The company or business must have the internal resources, and capabilities to expand the business.
The representative of the agency said that the MSME sector can play a big role in strengthening the national economy,as small enterprise can provide huge job opportunities for local job seekers as well. The agency is expecting a positive income from the scheme and hopes that the consultation centre will be crucial for the Small business expansions.
