Akhaltsikhe Municipality City Hall introduces scholarship scheme

Akhaltsikhe: The administration of the Akhaltsikhe city hall municipality came with a new scholarship scheme. The scheme will be covered under “Akhaltsikhe Mayor’s Scholarships for Students.

As per the information received so far the students of the Samtskhe-Javakheti State University who have outperformed the other students in their respective courses will be eligible for this scheme.

Moreover under the program there are some conditions participants have to follow to be eligible for the scheme:

1. The student must be a permanent citizen of Georgia
2. He should be registered in the Akhaltsihe municipality not below the last six months
3. He must be studying in any graduation program
4. His average point in academic courses must not be less than 97 points
5. He must be an active participant of scientific activities along with scientific student conference
6. Have the status of brilliant student

At the same time the following document needs to be submitted along with the application forms to get the scholarship. These included:

1. Copy of ID card
2. The complete banking details
3. Record of academic achievement, including documents, and certificates issued by respective higher education institutions
4. Proof of the registration in the Akhaltsikhe municipality

Moreover the information also provides that applications will be accepted between April 15 to April 30, 2024. The documents that have been mentioned above must be submitted to the following address:

This is the initiative of the municipality to motivate the students for higher studies. The municipality representative also added that they are planning to enhance the scholarship amount to cover the extra number of students in future.

On the other hand some students who were interested in this program expressed their happiness over the introduction of this program. They thanked the municipality for this unique effort which will support the student’s community in several ways.
