Solo concert of ensemble “Didgori” to hold successfully in Brussels

With the support of the Georgian government, a solo concert of the ensemble “Didgori” was held on November 18, 2023. It was held in Brussels, Scarbeck City Hall.

Folk songs and traditional church hymns from different parts of Georgia were performed in the evening. The concert earned particular likes from the audience.

The Ensemble “Didgori” concerts were held during the festival from 11 to November 18, 2023. During this, the ensemble members will present the festival guests with dignity and high-level performing art, unique samples of Georgian culture, and the diversity of Georgian folklore and hymns.

In parallel with concerts, the ensemble “Didgori” cooperated with French musician Zoe Perez, who lived in Georgia for years and studied Georgian pluralism. With the choir, he held music lessons for pupils in public schools in Valonia, Belgium.

Also, Zoe Pere holds masterclasses of Georgian folklore in Brussels for the general public. It is worth noting that on November 18, the members of the group participating in its masterclass performed a Georgian folklore song.

At the “Europe-Georgia” festival, the public had the opportunity to attend the joint concert of “Didgori” and “Deb Chamgeliani” in Brussels. Unique samples of Georgian folklore related to Svan myths were performed there, accompanied by Chuniri.

With the support of the Georgian government and under the aegis of “Europe-Georgia” from October 4 to February 2024, large-scale and varied events are being held in Belgium and its border countries.

For four months, the European community can see two large-scale and historical exhibitions of national treasures – “Avant-garde in Georgia – 1900-1936” (Brussel’s Fine Art Center “Bozar”) and “Georgia – Meeting Place” (in the Royal Museum of History and Art, Brussels).
