Europe: The European Youth Event ( EYE 2023) kicked off in Strasbourg with over 10,000 youngsters attending the event. However, a Polish Climate Activist, Dominika Lasota, turned up as one of the major highlights when she, along with thousands of youngsters, demanded Climate Justice with an immediate effect.
Dominika Lasota also took to her social media handle, where she shared a video, captioning it as- “At the #EYE2023 I was asked what my final message is for the politicians. We answered it all together – with all the young people – because our demand is simple. Climate justice now“

The President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, addressed the youngsters with a welcoming speech and thanked them for being a part of the event by travelling to Strasbourg or attending the event online.
She urged the European youngsters to come up with their ideas of what they expect the future of Europe to be like stating, “This is your Europe. We need to be honest about what we want to see; We need to see where we have not done enough as well as our achievements.”
Further, she stressed what Europe has gone through in the past few years, enlisting the Covid-19 pandemic, Russia-Ukraine War, Unprecedented Energy Crisis, Inflation, Cyber warfare and the Climate emergency.
Remarking on it, Metsola stated that “I am proud of how European Union has delivered by coming together in defence of our values, our way of life. And now, we must deliver to our upcoming generations.
The world is changing, and we must change with it. We cannot be afraid of change. And for that, Europe needs youngsters like you,“; stated European Parliament President.
Notably, the European Youth Event( EYE 2023 ) marked the presence of over 10,000 participants in Strasbourg, Over 400 speakers, moderators and facilitators.
The young European enthusiasts engaged in panel debates and workshops while they presented their ideas and opinions on the future of the European Union.
The participating youngsters get to engage in more than 300 activities at the European Parliament as well as in the EYE Village. The event includes 25 artistic performances and eight hybrid activities.
