Tbilisi: The world-famous french clothing brand KIABI has opened its first branch in Georgia. The branch has been opened with the financial support of the Bank of Georgia and GITEX group.
As the Bank of Georgia always supports business startups this is also a step in this direction. This time bank assisted in opening a KIABI branch in partnership with a financial institution GITEX in East Point.
At the opening ceremony of the first KIABI branch guests got an opportunity to avail a special 20% discount. KIABI is a French brand of clothing and has a presence in 26 countries with 606 stores. This brand was founded in the year 1978.
In Georgia KIABI will be represented by “GITEX Group” which also offers Georgian consumers several international brand products like OVS, PENTI, MATALAN, and TERRANOVA.
“GITEX has been operating in the Georgian market since 2007 and it franchises 6 international brands. It is represented by 31 branches throughout Georgia including the big cities of Tbilisi, Batumi, Kutaisi, and Rustavi.
Veri Tabidze, the executive director of the GITEX company at the opening ceremony stated “Today we opened a store of the international brand KIABI which is the first in the country. Moreover, the Bank of Georgia has been our reliable partner for years and has helped us to expand. KIABI plans continuous development in the Georgian market. Soon, it will be represented by many branches across the country“.
On the other hand Nikoloz Mitaishvili, head of the corporate sales sector of the Bank of Georgia while expressing his views on the opening of the first KIABI store added that “The GITEX and Bank of Georgia partnership is more than fifteen years old. Several projects have been developed by us jointly in recent years. We are happy to see that another branch of KIABI has been opened with our support. The entry of international brands is very important for the development of the Georgian economy. We wish best wishes for the success of the KIABI”.
