Georgia: The construction of the new Sports Palace has been completed, and we are ready to host the Eurobasket, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili told reporters after visiting the newly built Sports Palace in Tbilisi.
The head of government thanked the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth and the construction company, noting that the company had built a unique complex in record time.
According to the Prime Minister, “Eurobasket” will be held on September 1, and before that, a test match will be held on July 4.
“I want to inform our citizens that our country is ready to host the” Eurobasket “, which will be held on September 1. Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili visited the newly built Sports Palace in Tbilisi together with the Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth Tea Tsulukiani.
The area of the new sports palace is 25,000 square meters and is designed for 10,000 spectators. The building is a multifunctional sports space that can host sporting and cultural events of any kind and scale.
The building is built to modern standards and equipped with the latest technologies. The New Sports Palace will host the first test match of “Eurobasket” on July 4.
