Tbilisi: Within the framework of the “Our Army” project, the heads of the Ministry of Defense continue to visit schools throughout Georgia. The Deputy Minister of Defense, Grigol Giorgadze was in his native school this time. He met high school students at St. Nino’s 3rd public school and talked about the importance of the project.Â
While he addressed the students, he focused on the role of the school in the process of forming teenagers, the importance of educating the young generation and instilling the patriotic spirit in them from the younger ages.
The joint project of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Education and Science is being successfully implemented throughout Georgia. Along with the active military personnel, the officers and non-commissioned officers together visit schools gradually and exhibit the thematically selected and prepared presentations loaded with video and photo materials to the students.
Under this project, the goals and objectives of the Georgian Defense Forces, the possibilities of receiving military education and Information on privileges, forms of military service, importance of international missions and Georgia’s contribution is provided personally.
 During the 2022-2023 academic year, visits to 1301 schools across the country are planned. The project “Our army”, which provides for meetings of representatives of the defense forces with students of public schools, aims at raising the awareness of young people and deepening the patriotic spirit.
