The parliament election process ended on October 26, 2024 in the evening. Polling booths were established throughout the country and in some foreign countries to facilitate Georgians living outside countries.

The polling started at 8 AM on Saturday morning. The President was the first official voter to visit a polling station and cast her vote. She expressed that the Georgian people would bring change.

The Prime Minister of Georgia also cast his vote. After exercising his right to vote PM express hopes that the Georgian Dream is bound to come to power once again, he reiterated that people understand reality and will reject the false propaganda of opposition parties.

The three exit pollson the other hand, show different outcomes of the result. The two exit polls by anti-government TV channels show the result favoring the opposition party.  However, the channels with a pro-government approach keep the Georgian Dream ahead of other parties.

The Pro-Gergian Drean channel, namely  Imedi TV poll, projects Georgian Dream as a winner in this election. The exit poll data of Formula / Edison Research gave opposition is the clear majority, which now created confusion in the minds of parties and the minds of common voters and supporters of different parties.

The Imedi TV exit polls  conducted by Gorbi  predict a confident victory for the Georgian Dream  defeating all others by a huge margin. The opposition-leaning Mtavari Arkhi channel also conducted an exit poll from HarrisX, which showed the victory of opposition parties as well.

It is worth noting that the final results will come today. This will include the number of ballots counted by hand. It should be added that Georgian Dream introduced the foreign agent’s law. Due to this law the party faced countrywide protests.

The opposition parties claimed that this law would stifle independent media voices. However, Georgian Dream’s official and the Prime Minister, said the law aims to bring transparency to the workings of NGOs, CSOs and other organizations as well.
