Georgia: Foreign Minister talks to Slovenia’s Counterpart over Phone

As the European Commission recommended granting candidate status to Georgia in the European Union, it became an important development for the country.

Elia Dariashvili stated that the recommendation of candidate status to Georgia by the European Commission is a big development. He also expressed hope that the support of Slovenia is very significant for gaining full membership in the European Union.

Both leaders also talked about the various opportunities that can be utilised to enhance the bilateral relationship between the Georgia and the Republic of Slovenia.
