The Free University of Georgia to mark the memory of Kakha Bendukidze (founder of the agriculture and free university) held an employment forum. Almost one hundred companies have participated in this forum and hired students for various positions.
Kakha Bendukidze was a successful statesman of the country. He was also a businessman, and philanthropist as we as the founder of Foundation Knowledge. The forum was to pay tribute to Kakha Bendukidze. The University administration used to hold such forums frequently to provide students an exposure to the world job market.
It is to be added that such a forum is very useful for the student community as this provides a single platform for companies and students to interact to explore job opportunities. The company’s representative during the forum displayed their separate kiosks. The student visited each stand and enquired about the profile of the company, the field of function of the company the management as well and the area of operation.
Company representatives were eager to share the information of their respective companies with participating students. They apprised student how joining any particular company can open the gate of personal and professional growth. The university auditorium was full of a student interested in knowing the jobs opening in their field of experience.
The participating students while sharing their experiences expressed their satisfaction with the efforts of the university to invite the companies to the campus under a single roof. Some students who were hired by employers termed this forum as a successful event to delve into the world of job opportunities.
On the other hand the company representative expressed their gratitude towards the university administration for the cooperation for successful organization of the forum. They further added that the interest shown by the university students was overwhelming and more than our expectations.
Similarly the University administration and the organizer of the forum vowed to hold this kind of event in future as well for the welfare of the students.
