Georgia: Giorgi Khanishvili, First Deputy Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture, together with Dedoplistskaro Mayor Nikoloz Janiashvili, got acquainted with the preparatory works for harvesting grain crops.
“We think this year will be remarkable, both in terms of organizing the harvest, for which the headquarters has been set up, and will also be distinguished by good yields. Last year, on the territory of Georgia, we took about 140 thousand tons of wheat; We think this year’s figures will be in the range of 160-170 thousand tons. “Hopefully, we will have a season without precipitation, and we will be able to get the full harvest in a short period of time,” said Giorgi Khanishvili, First Deputy Minister of Environment and Agriculture.
According to the Mayor of Dedoplistskaro, Nikoloz Janiashvili, in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture, preparatory works are underway for the organized harvest of cereals.
Along with up to 80 combined harvesters of agricultural logistics and services companies, equipment from the private sector will also be involved in the harvesting process. In order to organize the harvest, a coordination headquarters will be set up.
