The health authorities have stated that Georgia has reported 4028 new cases of COVID-19 with 22,517 recoveries and 21 death in the last 24 hours. As per the data, the positivity rate of Coronavirus for the past 24 hours stands at 31.92%.
Overall, there are still 171,731 active cases of Coronavirus throughout the country.
According to the data, a total of 9,688 tests were conducted all around the country in the past 24 hours. Among them, 6,768 were rapid antigen tests, while the remaining 2,920 were PCR tests.
Moreover, since February 26, 2020, Georgia has registered an overall of 1,458,093 cases of Coronavirus.
The new 4,028 cases of COVID-19 were reported in Tbilisi – 2,228 cases, Adjara – 303, Imereti – 450, Kvemo Kartli – 259, Shida Kartli – 207, Guria – 89, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti – 203, Kakheti – 210 cases, Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 27 cases, Samtskhe-Javakheti – 48 cases, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 4 cases.
So far, since February 09, 2020, Georgia has registered an overall 1,913 cases of Omicron variant throughout the country.
According to the reports, 6,202 Coronavirus infected individuals are undergoing treatment in hospitals, while 164,048 individuals are undergoing treatment at home by isolating themselves and contacting their family doctors.
Besides this, 1,307 individuals are still in a severe condition, out of which 285 are on artificial ventilation.
The percentage of people fully vaccinated in Georgia is quite low as compared to other nations. As of today, around 33.2% of the population of Georgia is fully vaccinated against the COVID-19, which accounts for 12.3L people and around 28.6L doses have been administered.
