The Speaker of national parliament of Georgia Shalva Papushvili extended his best wishes to people on eve of new year’s. He said new year will be historic for country.
It is worth to note that the whole country is welcoming new years with great celebrations. The President and Prime Minster also extended their best wishes to all Georgian on the beginning of new year.
According to speaker, the new year will be very historic year for county as the Government is working round the clock for integration into European Union. He said the government is very hopeful that this year we will move more closer to European Union as well.
As per the speaker the history of country tells us struggle, we have faced in past years. Moreover, the challenges in present year will also be defeated by collective efforts of all of us. The huge and tough challenge due to pandemic, along with conflicts and precarious geopolitical dynamics, have put a great influence on world geopolitics also.
In last year also we have experience peace, unwavering determination, wisdom, caution and foresight which was very helpful for all of us. We also tacked many national, regional and global challenges also.
He said that we can build a strong nation with high moral values in our political systems. This can be ensured by doing every work as per the provisions of our constitution.
The speaker extended his best wishes to newly elected President of Georgia. He expressed hopes that new President will make country more progressive under his visionary leadership in the new year also.
While commenting on controversy about foreign agent’s law speaker made this clear that the has been misinterpreted by opposition parties for their personal interests. Moreover, he reiterates that law was introduce with only aim to bring transparency in function of the non-governmental as well as civil society organisation.
