The Special Investigation Service of Georgia has announced the tender for the construction of a new regional office in the Rustavi region of the country. The new office has been proposed to cater to the needs of residents of the Rustavi region of the country.
It is to be specifically mentioned that the Special Investigation Service announced an open tender on February 19, 2024 for the construction of a regional office in Rustavi city. The tender has been opened through the unified electronic system of state procurement.
As per the information through the new Lower George Regional Office, the service office will be able to respond more effectively and faster to complaints from three temporary detention centers.
In addition the service will become more accessible for the population living in Lower Kartli municipality and they will find it easy to get the services at their doorsteps.
This new regional office will be fully adapted to the specifications of the job functions and activities. This new office will be fully equipped with modern technology and inventory required for safety standards with fire and work safety standards. Also it will be fully adapted for disabled persons.
As per further information there will be meeting rooms for a visitors , temporary detention, and recognition center, and also some other rooms will be set up. The estimated cost of the works is 2 385 000 GEL, and this will be completed within the duration of one and a half years.
Similarly the Special Investigation Service has prioritized the opening of regional offices and the operation of on-site investigation units from day one for the delivery of timely services to citizens.
It is also noteworthy that in the first phase of institutional and infrastructural expansion two new offices have been added to the existing offices with the help of the state in Kakheti and Samegrelo regions.
To strengthen the service recommended by the European Commission and the effective implementation of investigative powers, and widening geographical availability, the service plans to open a regional office in Lower Kartli as well.
