Georgia’s Special Investigation Service has arrested the two accused on the charges of violation of human rights. As per the information the accused had illegally obtained intimate photos and videos of his friend’s former partner with ill intention. The offender created a fake social network page before communicating with the victim between January and February to make threats to release the material and blackmail them.

As per the information this individual also used the material to force the victim to take and send further photos and videos as well as they were also demanding social media account passwords from the victim.

It added by the officials that the offender personally contacted the victim and requested a relationship, then publicly posted the latter’s intimate videos on his fake social networks when she refused to do so as per the direction of the accused.

The victim approached the Service for assistance and help. The agency has added that its investigative actions had been carried out “in a short period” and led to the arrest of the alleged perpetrator and seizure of files containing personal information of the woman during a personal search.

The law enforcement agency also said it had also arrested another individual for disclosure of confidentiality of personal information in the two different cases. It is to be specifically mentioned that the offender gained the victim’s trust and received intimate photos and videos from her, before sending them to the victim’s relatives using social media “as a revenge”.
