Tbilisi: The Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth of Georgia, Thea Tsulukiani, toured the villages of Lentekhi municipality, where she inspected the sports infrastructure and received information about the needs of the atheletes and sports persons.
The Georgian Sports Minister was accompanied by the State Commissioner of Kvemo Svaneti Papuna Margvelidze, Mayor of Lentekki municipality Gia Oniani and the representatives of the local municipality of Lentekhi.
The Minister also interacted with coaches to understand their needs and have better insights of equipment requirements for athletes of various sports. The Sports Minister extended her unconditional support to these athletes and inspired them to perform at their maximum potential while they represent their nation at international or high-scale sporting events.
It is noteworthy that with the support of the Ministry of Sports, Lentekhi Municipality is prioritizing the upgradation of the sports infrastructure and rehabilitation of a multifunctional sports school, in which a number of sports can be developed.
It means that not only in Lentekhi, but also in the villages of the municipality, young people are successfully practicing various sports: rugby, football, volleyball, archery, judo.Â
As the officials of the Sports Ministry remarked, it is really important to strengthen the sporting infrastructure so that these boys and girls can further improve their already high achievements
Georgian Minister of Sports, Thea Tsulukiani reiterated her support stating that the Ministry of Sports will continue its cooperation with the Lentekhi Municipality Development Fund in terms of equipping and strengthening sports infrastructure for the benefit of Georgian athletes.Â
