Georgia: The Director of the Patrol Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Levan Maisuradze, held a meeting with Rahman Babayev, the head of the Transport Police of the Turkmenistan Ministry of Internal Affairs, who is on a working visit to Georgia.
The Patrol Police of Georgia shared the glimpses of the meeting on its official Facebook Page on January 12, 2026, Monday. The Georgian Police also shared some information about the meeting, along with its glimpses.
During the meeting, Levan Maisuradze introduced the specifics of patrol police activities and ongoing reforms to his Turkmen colleague. The parties also discussed prospects for cooperation development.
Special attention was paid to issues of road safety, traffic management, and the exchange of professional experience. The sides discussed possibilities for joint training programs, study visits, and sharing best practices aimed at improving public safety and transport policing.
At the end of the meeting, the head of Turkmenistan Transport Police thanked his Georgian colleague for hosting. The Georgian side expressed readiness for cooperation and further sharing of experience.
Rahman Babayev also visited the Unified Service Center of the Patrol Police, where he got acquainted with the services that citizens can receive based on “one mirror”.
During his visit to Georgia, the Head of Transport Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan will also visit the Public Safety Management Center “112”, the Service Agency, and the Academy of the Ministry of Interior, where he will get acquainted with the specifics of the units’ activities.
