eMonitor+ system, which has been developed by UNDP will soon be introduced in Georgia. The system can detect digital violence against women.
Moreover the system has been developed in many countries worldwide. It is an artificial intelligence-based system that will detect digital violence and then implement measures to eliminate it. Recently the ” Media Development Foundation” team has undergone proper training on the functions and use of eMonitor+ which will contribute to developing a more secure and equal online space in Georgia.
It is also to be noted that the system will be implemented with the support of the government of the Republic of Korea. In the present time AI is playing crucial role in every aspect of life. The training session was held with the participation of a number of representatives from the respective government departments. The AI and cyber experts across the globe addressed the attendees of training sessions.
During the training session besides the theoretical a practical session was also held. The practice training will help them better understand the various aspects of software and how they can get the maximum benefits from the use of software. Moreover the experts also held a presentation that covered all the aspects of the software and gave in-depth information on how to use it to get the maximum benefits.
Cyber crime has witnessed a sharp rise recently. Digital violence against women is also a big problem because it is not easy to detect cybercriminals. Moreover cybercrime is a transnational crime and mostly people located in other countries commit the crime and escape the law enforcement agencies of the country concerned as well.
The new system is expected to tackle the threat of disinformation and toxic discourse. Hate speech on online platforms is also a matter of concern. The system has the potential to reduce the misinformation campaign targeted at women.
