The Youth Agency of Georgia has announced a grant competition for youth organisastions. This has been announced to support the youth of country for participating in productive activities.
It is worth noting that the agency has shared this information on its different social media handles. As per the official Facebook page of the Youth Agency, “This is another opportunity for youth organizations throughout the country to prove their abilities and achievements.”
It is also worth noting that as per the organizers, the main aim of the competition is to develop different competencies among young people in accordance with thematic priorities. According to the Youth agency of the State the grant project should be prepared according to the following thematic topics to compete for awards:
- Peacebuilding and intercultural dialogue, including integration of ethnic minorities of all the regions in Georgia
- Promotion of voluntary cultural development for the overall development of the country
- Efforts for entrepreneurship, including green, digital and social entrepreneurship
- Active citizenship and youth participation in the decision-making process
- Strengthening social and employment skills among young people
- Efforts in order to increase the availability of informal education and youth services, youth activities
- Transferring information about the critical competencies for lifelong learning including the development of digital competencies
As per the additional information the proposed grant project may include carrying out relevant training/practical sessions to empower members of the youth organization to acquire the necessary skills in their respective fields. A non-entrepreneurial (non-profit) legal entity and a youth organization whose activity is related to youth development issues are eligible to participate in the grant competition.
The total budget of the competition is 200000 GEL. The maximum amount that can be requested to finance one grant project is 50000 GEL, which will be provided after following the proper procedure.
