A special event was held in Rustavi on the eve of International Youth Day. The event was organized by mutual coordination of the city council, Rustavi City Hall and the Education, Science, and Youth Affairs Committee of the Parliament of Georgia.
The event was held with the support of the National Association of Local Self-Governments of Georgia and the Youth Agency of the Ministry of Science and Youth, the local self-government youth forum “for social and economic empowerment of young people.
It was organized as part of the celebration of International Youth Day  and its goal is to promote the social and economic development of young people living in the regions.
Many Government officials were present on this occasion. Some of the chief guests of the event included Giorgi Tkemaladze, Vice President of Athea, and Guram Okropiridze, Chairman of the Tbilisi City Council.
Other people present on the occasion include Nino Latsabidze, a member of Atea’s executive board, the mayor of Rustavi and Giorgi Dokhturishvili, the state representative in the Kvemo Kartli region.
The speakers not only talked about the importance of the forum but also shared their future plans. These plans  aimed at enhancing the skills and opportunities for the youth to instill a sense of hope and optimism among the audience.
In speech the Mayor of Rustavi  Nino Latsabidze, emphasized the importance of holding the forum in Rustavi and informed the attending public about the projects focused on the social and economic empowerment of the youth in the municipality.
Similarly from the speakers’ side  the meeting participants also learned in detail about the news related to the state youth internship program and other topics which will be discussed within the framework of the forum. Â
This youth  forum  designed as a platform for open discussions  provided a space for the audience to actively participate. Their contributions and insights on issues such as the state internship program, financing youth projects and strengthening the participation of young people in the decision-making process were integral topics discusses at  the  event.
