PM Irakli Garibashvili meets Hungarian diplomat in discussions on cooperation prospects

In a meeting between the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, and the Ambassador of Hungary, Anna Maria Siko, on Thursday, March 31, the prospects for the development of the successful partnership between Georgia and Hungary were discussed.

In a meeting between the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, and the Ambassador of Hungary, Anna Maria Siko, on Thursday, March 31, the prospects for the development of the successful partnership between Georgia and Hungary were discussed.

The PM of Georgia also congratulated the Hungarian diplomat during the meeting on her appointment and expressed optimism for “fruitful” cooperation, noting that Georgia “appreciates the considerable contribution” of Hungary to the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) in Georgia.

According to the Government’s Administration, both sides also addressed bilateral ties in the areas of trade, tourism, transportation, and education.

Moreover, the Hungarian diplomat underlined Hungary’s “unwavering support” for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for the country’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration efforts.

Georgian PM noted Georgia’s hopes for “strong support” of global partners, including Hungary, in the procedure of the nation’s European Union membership bid.
