Georgian rescuers in Turkey return back to their homeland

Tbilisi: By the decision of Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, the Georgian rescuers deployed in Turkey relief efforts, flew back from Turkey to their homeland on a special charter flight. Notably, Rescue workers from the Emergency Management Service of the Ministry of the Interior completed an earthquake relief and liquidation mission in Turkey.

Tbilisi: By the decision of Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, the Georgian rescuers deployed in Turkey relief efforts, flew back from Turkey to their homeland on a special charter flight. Notably, Rescue workers from the Emergency Management Service of the Ministry of the Interior completed an earthquake relief and liquidation mission in Turkey.

Rescuers returning to Georgia were honourably welcomed at the Tbilisi International Airport by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs – Ioseb Chelidze, Head of Emergency Management Service – Teimuraz Mgebrishvili and Turkish Emergency Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Georgia – Ali Khan Orbai, who thanked the members of the rescue team for their commitment to Turkey.

Part of the Georgian rescuers will return to their homeland with rescue equipment and equipment.

Following the decision of the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Gharibashvili, the rescuers of the Emergency Situations Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs left for the city of Adiamani, Turkey, on the first day of the disaster, and after the rotation continued the rescue operation in Antakia, Hatai province.

Notably, about 200 rescuers, in total, were involved in the liquidation and rescue operations after the earthquake.

Earlier, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Vakhtang Gomelauri thanked these rescue workers for their dedication and consistency in serving the victims of the fatal Turkey earthquake.

 He stated- “Our rescuers are highly experienced and trained. I would like to thank each and every one of them I am really proud when they say thank you your boys worked so hard.

 Everyone was asking, where are Georgians, help them and I am really proud of this. “Again, thank you very much to them,” “You know, from that day, that morning, Mr. Prime Minister had instructed to mobilize our rescuers, equipment and move early in the morning towards the epicentre, to serve the humanity that struggled beneath the rubble.
