Intensive Liquidation Efforts Continue in Shove Resort for Fifth Consecutive Day

The liquidation works in the disaster zone in Shove Resort continued intensively, for the consecutive fifth day.

Representatives of the legislative, executive and local authorities have been in the epicentre of the disaster since morning; they are personally meeting the local population and family members of those people whose search works are still ongoing.

For this stage, 78 units of heavy equipment have been mobilized.

Mobilization and operation of equipment for search operations is underway at seven priority locations determined by the Emergency Situations Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

In addition, near the temporary bridge near the Shove Resort, the works of forming the river bed and arranging a bypass road near the acidic waters are continuing.

Search and bed cleaning works are also underway on the river Bdghviora.

For additional and extended tasks, additional resources are mobilized on-site.
