As per the recent information provided by the Ministry of IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Protection, 1335 displaced families have to get new houses. Families will have the option to get new homes in any part of the country. This house-providing scheme is part of the project namely “House in the Country.”
Ministry of IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Protection held a meeting in this regard as well. Offcial stated that the eligible families can find their name in the list. The list of eligible families is available on the official website of the Ministry.
These displaced families included refugees, immigrants etc. Moreover, these families will have the option to get a new house within the next six months.
As per the information available in the public domain, the agency launched this project a long time ago. This project is being implemented throughout the country, and so far, almost 1300 displaced families have been provided with new houses.
The ministry also has plans to accommodate a maximum number of displaced families. Till the end of 2025 six thousand families are expected to be resettle under the framework of this scheme.Moreover, this scheme has the provision of houses that come with plots of land.
The concerned ministry of the Ministry of IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Protection also took to social media handles to provide information in this regard. The people of Georgia appreciated this historic decision of the government. Some users commented that this scheme will provide a great relief to displaced families. Moreover, with their new houses, displaced families can live a dignified life in the future without any kind of social stigma.
Some people who have any graveness also describe their problems on social media pages. One user, while commenting on a social media post, commented, “ This is so sad that we are not on the list of eligible families; I have four kids; I have been waiting for you all these years”.
The official of the Ministry of IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Protection further said that the Ministry, under the directions of the Prime Minister, will continue to provide the required assistance to displaced families including housing facilities so that they can also live a normal life in the Country with pride.
