Georgia: Notary chamber joins CNUE as observer

The Chamber of Notaries of Georgia has officially joined the Council of Notaries of the European Union (CNUE). Gorgia has joined the CNUE as an observer.

This year on March 15 the General Assembly of the Council of Notaries of the European Union (CNUE) which consisted of representatives of national notaries of 22 EU (European Union) countries unanimously approved the application of the Chamber of Notaries of Georgia for joining the Council of Notary’s of the European Union with the status of observer.

This is the recognition of the work of the notary chamber of Georgia by CNUE. At the same time with this decision the Council recognised the contribution of the Georgian Chamber of Notaries in the development of notary services and notary profession in country.

After the official announcement in this regard the Council of Notaries of the European Union congratulates Georgia and all the members of the Chamber of Notaries on this important achievement. The officials also express the CNUE’s readiness to help the Chamber of Notarys of Georgia in the development of notary services according to European standards.

Similarly it was also underlined by officials that the granting the status of observer to Georgia by the European Union will help the Notary Chamber of Georgia to get acquainted with the best practices of the notaries of EU countries. Moreover this will also help the Georgian chamber with regard to sharing of knowledge and experience, technical assistance, implementation of training programs etc.

According to the Marius Strakite the President of the Council of Notaries of the European Union (CNUE) granting the status of observer to the Chamber of Notaries of Georgia is a fair and well-deserved recognition.

He also expressed hopes that this decision will also encourage the the notary officials from Georgia to work hard so that they can align their working standard as per the European Union requirement. The public also expressed the happiness over this latest development which will take the country one step forward to the European Union integration.
