A Georgian delegation led by Ilia Darchiashvili the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, visited Mexico. They attended the swearing-in ceremony of Claudia Sheinbaum the first female president of Mexico.
An impressive event was held in Mexico City, the capital of Mexico. Large number of official representatives from many countries attended the event.
Officials, delegates, and representatives from more than 105 countries graced the event with their esteemed presence. At the same time officials from many regional and International organisations were also present.
Representatives of twenty-two international organisations were also present there. Similarly the first citizens of 16 countries along with foreign ministers of 20 countries were also there to greet the New first female President of Mexico.
The Georgian Minister congratulated the new President on behalf of Georgia. On the sidelines of the main event, the Minister also interacted personally with her and extended best wishes for her successful tenure as well.
Both sides have recognised the friendly relationship between countries. They expressed hopes for stronger ties in the future between the two countries and the implementation of extra measures in this direction as well.
On the other hand the newly elected President of Mexico thanked the Georgian minister for his best wishes and for attending the event. She also expects better bilateral relations between both nations in the future.
Ilia Darchiashvili had another significant meeting with his counterpart from Mexico, Juan de la Fuente. They discussed the existing bilateral relations in detail. They agreed that only strong bilateral relations can ensure progress in several areas such as trade, economy, business etc.
Ilia Darchiashvili said that the ties between Georgia and Mexico will further stabilise Georgia’s relations with countries of Central and South America. He expressed gratitude to Mexico for extending support for sovereignty and territorial integrity.
At the same time the Georgian Minister had the opportunity to meet the heads of many other countries. He discussed measures to boost Georgia’s bilateral relations with most countries in the world.
