Georgian prosecutor general meets Israel’s ambassador

Tbilisi: Irakli Shotadze, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Georgia, has met Hadas Meitsad the State Ambassador of Israel to Georgia. Both sides discuss many issues including the joint investigation of trans-country crime.

It is to be specifically mentioned that at this significant meeting held at the Prosecutor’s Office the Prosecutor General of Georgia spoke with the Israeli Ambassador about the main functions of the Prosecutor’s Office, the specifics of the work and the peculiarities of the activity. He also explains the process and participation of the office to ensure the timely delivery of justice to aggrieved parties.

The prosecutor Genera Irakli Shotadze also underlined that based on the existing international instruments between the countries the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia actively cooperates with the Israeli law enforcement agencies and will take all measures so that the cooperation between the two states in the field of fighting transnational crime continues as effectively and successfully as possible.

At the meeting with the Israeli ambassador, the Prosecutor General of Georgia expressed his sorrow over the developments in the State of Israel. He also said that Georgia always respects the Right to the defence of Israel and supports the mutual dialogue to end the conflict.

It is worth mentioning that the Georgian prosecution office plays an important role in the enforcement of law and order in the country. The office also has a number of employees and experts who always make the necessary effort for the smooth functioning of legal machinery. 

It is to be added that in the present scenario with the advancement of information technology cybercrime has become a new challenge for law enforcement agencies across the globe. 

At the meeting both sides also agreed to cooperate with each other on the various measures to prevent cybercrime. They also agreed to implement the latest measures in their respective countries as well to prevent technology-based crime.
