Georgia: Giorgi Amilakhvari, the minister of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia, visited the 147th public school in Tbilisi on the first day of the national exams and learned about the exam process.
The education minister wished the entrants success and expressed hope that each would achieve the desired result and continue their studies at the higher education level.
Giorgi Amilakhvari emphasized that all exam centers in Georgia are designed to provide a serene and secure environment. Each applicant is assured of the maximum opportunity to showcase their knowledge and skills, fostering a sense of security and comfort.
On Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 09:00, unified national exams with Georgian language and literature exams began in 12 cities of Georgia and 24 exam centers. The 12 cities are Tbilisi, Rustavi, Telavi, Gori, Zugdidi, Kutaisi, Poti, Ozurgeti, Batumi, Akhaltsikhe, Khulo, and Ambrolauri.
This year, all centers are equipped with cooling systems. Additional transport from the metro to the examination center has been assigned, and information related to the relocation has been published on the National Assessment and Examination Center website.
Up to 80 000 applicants have registered for 2024 exams, including:
For the Unified National Examinations – more than 47 000 applicants;
More than 3,000 students expressed their desire to participate in the Student Grant Competition;
- Over 10,000 Master’s degree candidates have registered for the General Master’s Exam.
- More than 18 900 applicants have been registered for the teacher’s exam.
- The exams of 2024 will traditionally be held in two sessions.
- Unified National Examinations will end on July 26 with a physics exam.
Those who want to become teachers will participate in the exam process from Friday, July 5, 2024. The Student grant competition will be held on July 5, and Master’s degree candidates will pass the Master’s exam on July 17-18, 2024.
