The Gori University of the Gori city , Georgia on June 17 held a scientific conference under the framework of “Young Scientist week.” The program “Young Scientist Week” is being implemented by the Georgian Ministry of Education, science, and Youth Affairs of Georgia to encourage the young telent in field of science.
In the beginning the conference was opened by the Rector of Gori University Professor Aleksandre Mgebrishvili. The Reactor professor Aleksandre Mgebrishvili was accompanied by many other dignitaries. These important personalities included the head of the administration Mr. Davit Kvernadze,the head of the quality assurance service, Professor Levan Midodashvili the head of the educational process management service, professor Tsiuri Duruli the dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Business, and Legal Studies ,Professor Marika Sherazadishvili the dean of the Faculty of Humanities as well.
The Reactor and all other key members welcomed the conference participants and wished them success while opening the session. Associate Professor Ketevan Barbakadze, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Exact and Natural Sciences, and Associate Professor Lela Aleksidze provided detailed and important information to all the attendees who were present on the occasion.
It is to be specifically mentioned that this important scientific conference program included 125 reports of 138 students in the following sections. These reports present the work of the students in many diverse areas which include Education, Information Technologies and Mathematic, Natural Sciences and Sports, Economics and Business Administration, Tourism, Social Sciences, Law and Public Administration, Georgian language, Georgian literature, Foreign language and literature, History, etc.
A significant number of faculty members and university students attended the conference. The conference hall was full of attendees which reflected their huge interest in this conference. During their address the conference’s Key speaker stressed that the government must boost measures to make scientific research work more accurate.
They also demanded that government efforts will encourage the students to adopt the science subject. Moreover scientific research in any country can not survive without the government’s financial support. On the other hand the participants thanked the organizers for the successful conference and stated that it was a great experience to be part of it and learn new things.
