The Georgian Technical University hosted the 35th International Hegel Congress. It was held from September 30 to October 4 on theme“The Idea of the Good and Ethical Life in Hegel’s Philosophy.”
The conference was successfully concluded with the help of the Georgina’s Ministry of Culture and Sports and the International Hegal Society.
The Faculty of Engineering Economics, Media Technologies and Social Sciences of the Technical University of Georgia was another active supporter behind the successful conclusion of the conference.
The reactor of Georgian Technical University and many other dignitaries attended the final day event on October 4. Aleksandre Grigalashvili, the head of the Department of Access to Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Georgia accompanied him.
Similarly academician Davit Gurgenidze, the Vice-Rector of STU Professor Tamar Lominadze and the member of the Hegel Society, the Professor of the Technical University Mamuka Beriashvili also attended the concluding event.
It is worth noting that the Republic of Georgia is the first country in the world to host this event after the collapse of the USSR (Soviet Union) upon gaining independence.
The decision to hold the 35th jubilee congress of the Hegal Society was unanimously adopted by the Scientific Council of the International Hegel Society in September 2022 at the University of Zadar situated in Croatia.
The Ministry of Culture and Sports of Georgia played a pivotal role in organizing the publishing and cultural events planned within the framework of the Congress. Their support led to the publication of eight books (200 copies each) on this occasion.
The visit of pianist Vladimir Stupeli was made possible through financial support under the cultural events program. The book Fund’s commitment to supporting the publication work of books in Georgian is commendable.
