Information meeting hosted by Adigeni municipality

An information meeting was held in the conference hall of the City Hall organized by the Adigeni Municipality City Hall. The officials of the Adigeni Municipal Department of Military Registration, Conscription and Recruitment also supported this meeting as well.

At the meeting  the Head of the Shida Kartli and Samtskhe-Javakheti Regional Center of the LEPL National Agency for Military Registration and Recruitment, Lieutenant Colonel Gogi Nozadze, together with the Head of the Adigeni Municipal Department of Military Registration, Conscription and Recruitment of the same center, Lieutenant Colonel Giorgi Tatalashvili, and the Sergeant of the Department, Senior Sergeant Mamuka Shatirishvili, presented a presentation on the changes related to the National Military Service of Conscripts.

The information meeting was attended by the Mayor of Adigeni Municipality Gocha Kimadze, his deputies, the Chairman of the City Council Shmagi Bidzishvili, the heads of the City Council and the A.(A).I.P service subordinate to it as well as representatives of the City Council and the City Council.

It is worth noting that according to the defence Code of Georgia, from 2025, the selection of conscripts for the National Military Service will be carried out on the basis of the principle of annual random selection. Conscripts can only undergo national military service within the system of the Ministry of Défense of Georgia.

Terms and remuneration of national military service of conscripts will be as following:

1. For service in a combat unit − for a period of 6 months – in the amount of 765 GEL
2. For service in a combat support and combat support unit – for a period of 8 months – in the amount of 635 GEL
3. For service in a junior command position and in a predetermined specialty – for a period of 11 months – for sergeants – in the amount of 1275 GEL and for officers – in the amount of 1530 GEL.
4. After completing the 11-month service, the above-mentioned persons will be enrolled in the reserve
5. A person who is voluntarily called up for the National Military Service of Conscripts will be given the established remuneration for the National Military Service of Conscripts in an amount of 30% more.
