Kakheti Region, Georgia: The first deputy state representative of the Kakheti region of Georgia, Platon Kalmakhelidze participated in the first meeting of the coordination group of the agency “Produce in Georgia.” The meeting was held at the Kakheti Consulting Center on May 28, 2025, Wednesday.
The Sagarejo Municipality City Hall shared glimpses of the meeting on its official Facebook page. The City Hall also shared a small note about the meeting along with the photographs.
According to the information shared by the City Hall of Sagarejo Municipality, it should be noted that the meeting discussed challenges in the region and mechanisms to support small and medium businesses.
Produce in Georgia Program
Produce in Georgia refers to a state program in Georgia aimed at supporting local businesses and industries. The program is implemented by the Government of Georgia.
The main goals of the Coordinating Group are to strengthen the region’s local entrepreneurial ecosystem, deepen collaboration between sectors, identify issues in the region, and develop response measures.
The coordination of the coordination groups will be carried out by the agency “Produce in Georgia” consulting centers, which will be opened gradually in all regions of Georgia.
The meeting was attended by Ana Ugulava, head of the Micro Entrepreneurship Development Department, representatives of the agency, Tea Dzuliashvili, head of the State Trustee’s Office in Kakheti, heads of municipalities in the region, representatives of educational institutions, Rural Development Agency and the Agency of Innovation and Technology of Georgia.
Specifically, Platon Kalmakhelidze is a member of a workgroup established to develop the Waste Management Plan for the Kakheti Region. He also attended a presentation on co-financing projects related to energy-efficient stoves in Kakheti.
