Sagarejo: The Mayor of Sagarejo Municipality, Avtandil Gulikashvili together with his deputies and village representatives held an informational meeting.
This meeting was held with the Head of the Kakheti Regional Centre for Military Conscription and Recruitment, Lieutenant Colonel Shalva Meghvinashvili.
As per the informant this important meeting was held within the framework previous agenda and under this they discussed changes related to the National Military Service of Conscripts.
It is worth to note that according to the defence Code of Georgia, from 2025, the selection of conscripts for conscription into the National Military Service of Conscripts will be carried out based on the principle of annual random selection.
National Military Service of Conscripts is possible only within the system of the Ministry of Défense of Georgia. They also discuss measure that can be implemented to more recruitment as well.
As per the information that any candidate who is willing to join as conscripts need to fulfil following terms and conditions.
Terms and remuneration of National Military Service of Conscripts:
-  For service in a combat unit − for a period of 6 months – accrued remuneration in the amount of 765 GEL
-  For service in a combat support and combat support unit − for a period of 8 months – accrued remuneration in the amount of 635 GEL
-  For service in a combat unit in a junior command position and in a predetermined specialty − for a period of 11 months – accrued remuneration from 1275 GEL to 1530 GEL. After completing the 11-month military service, the persons will be enrolled in the reserve with the rank of lieutenant or junior sergeant.
A person who is voluntarily conscripted into the National Military Service of Conscripts will be given the remuneration established for the National Military Service of Conscripts in an amount 30 percent higher.
The mayor also expressed hopes that with consistent efforts i future more people will joins armed forces of Georgia.
