Tbilisi: David Songhulashvili, the minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture met recently with the fifty employees of ministry. He also thanked t 50 employees of the Ministry and its subordinate agencies for their fruitful work.
At the same time minister during this meeting with employees of ministry also presented them with certificates of appreciation. He said their contribution for protection of Georgian environment is invaluable and ministry is committed for their overall welfare also.
The minister while speaking further underlined that, “It is a great honour for me to be the head of this very important ministry. I am sure that with your active involvement, we will do many very important and valuable things for our country. This ministry is the cornerstone of economic stability and the development of the country.”
The minister David Songhulashvili also added that,“In this short time, I tried to meet with each department, listen to their plans and actively engage in the process so that we can jointly do important things”.
It is worth to mention that the awarding ceremony for the employees of the ministry was attended by First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Nino Tandilashvili. Moreover, the deputy Ministers Solomon Pavliashvili, Yuri Nozadze and Mayor of capital city Tbilisi Kakha Kakabadze were also present on this occasion.
The environmental minister said that with the each passing year the importance of environment protection is growing day by day. He said that modern day challenges such as climate change and global warming are a big threat to the world.
The minister underlined that the Georgian ministry of environment protection and agriculture is also working round the clock for protection the environment of Georgia.
It is worth to note that Georgia has many agencies specifically working for the protection of environment. The agency of protected areas is one of the prominent agencies working in this direction as well.
